This comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense enthusiasm across the fandom. From the gradual reveal of newcomers before the game's release, to trainers forming strong views on the full lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.

Given many of the Super Forms boasting unique designs that highlight their traits, one idea came to mind: How can connect this with astrology? The following is inspired by a mix of intuition, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.

The Ram – Mega Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was almost selected for this fire sign, as they are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that inspire the most fear. However, a Mega Houndoom appears as constantly furious, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, known for being fun, cheerful, and spontaneous. The Maiden – Super Victreebel

The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Maiden is ideally represented in Super Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual acid reflux. The sign known for being charmingly judgmental is clearly mirrored throughout this Pokémon’s whole lineage, from a always shocked expression like a Maiden when you tell them you lack a retirement plan, to its inverted face that’s similar to the emoji a Maiden posts to the chatroom when all says they want to “go with the flow” rather than creating a strategy.

The Scales – Super Audino

Look at this gentle, empathetic creature, who uses the sensors on its ears to detect how others are emotionally by their pulse. Always compassionate – occasionally to a fault – and striving to maintain the peace, there are numerous Scales who would likely benefit from Super Audino's skills. Though, let’s be honest, it would probably just make them stress more about everyone else.

The Scorpion – Mega Banette

This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly tragic backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it became consciousness through pure hatred and swore retribution on its former owner. According to the official info, Mega Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That seems exactly like several discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the ideal pair with Super Banette.

Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha

Both Mega Hawlucha and Archers are always putting on a show. Being a Archer personally, the number of times I’ve called myself some variation of a “silly small entertainer” is countless.
